Paranormal Romance Novels – Surviving Among Vampires and Werewolves

Paranormal romance novels are everywhere, I’m not even sure how many hundreds or thousands are published every day or week. It’s funny how I never wrote in the paranormal genre before but I always wanted to, and when – years later – I finally did, it had suddenly become a popular, and I suppose a competitive genre.

Now I love writing fantasy and paranormal novels, but I think that blending it with real historical events still stands out among the many urban fantasies – well, at least, I hope so 😉

Paranormal Romance Novels - Surviving Among Vampires and Werewolves

Aurélie – Survival was a story that started out as a standalone book, and it turned into a series and now it even has spin offs. Some are published and others aren’t. The books can be read as standalone books, except for Lucan part 1 and part 2.

Aurélie – Survival was the first book I published although I had been writing stories for decades, ever since the age of six. I never had the courage to publish, to bare my soul with the rest of the world. It was exhilarating and scary to finally do so.

Getting reviews is always nerve wrecking. Yes, reviews are incredibly important for the author. At the same time, I am always overcome by a roller coaster of emotions whenever a review is published on Amazon and Goodreads. As soon as I see that there’s a new review, I feel excitement, fear, panic, and happiness coursing through me, all at the same time, accompanied by a strong surge of adrenaline …

It’s not just a book, it contains much of ME, so getting a review is always very personal …

That being said, if you’d like to read my book, please be so kind to leave a review. It always helps. 😉

So, I made a new book video trailer, the first one I ever made like this. If you enjoy the video, please click on like and subscribe to my YouTube channel. The link to buy Aurélie Survival is below the video, just in case you’re thinking of giving it a go 🙂

The Story

This historic novel begins with Aurélie telling her memories of the French Revolution, her participation in the storming of the Bastille, witnessing the September Massacres and her father’s arrest, and the trial of Marie Antoinette.

When Aurélie leaves the murdering mob in the September Massacres, she meets Lucan, a Roman vampire, who saves her from certain death and introduces her to the world of vampires. Seduced by vampirism, she embarks on the road of immortality, her journey filled with unsuspected turns, a mortal man that stirs her passion, surprising allies, and Giada, a Renaissance vampire who shares a dark history with Lucan and who is set on destroying Aurélie.

Aurélie – Survival is a provocative historical drama that ponders if a vampire can find true love. Or has Aurélie bitten off more than she can chew?

  1. I went over to Amazon and read the reviews there and they are unanimously giving five stars to your work. I’m excited about the book by just reading the reviews. This genre has always interested me. I recently read a comment about Midnight Sun and it got my heart pumping like the first Twilight ten years or so ago.

  2. Hey Christine,

First of all congratulations on the new book, this is an amazing achievement and one that I can share with you. The story sounds brilliant and one that could most certainly be turned into a movie. I can just see Leonardo DiCaprio playing Lucan the Roman Vampire.

It must be a great feeling in publishing your first book of five. Again congratulations and let me know when your next book is released.

Thank you for sharing and keep up the amazing work.

    All the best,

    Tom

  3. Wow, what a great achievement to become a published author, and then to have Aurélie – Survival become a series. It is always nice to come across a series that can also be read as stand alone books. Although the supernatural and vampires are not my favourite genre, the synopsis of Aurélie Survival has me very intrigued and curious to read more. Wishing you success in publishing more books.
