It sounds pretty promising to get wealthy with Wealthy Affiliate, but is it possible? And is Wealthy Affiliate legit? The internet is teeming with companies that offer you high earnings for minimal effort, of which many turn out to be scams. Many get-rich-quick schemes entice you with a low membership fee and then try to trick you with upsell after upsell. Wealthy Affiliate doesn’t do any of those things.
Before I begin my review, let me answer your question. Yes, Wealthy Affiliate is legit, and I’ll explain here why, what it offers, what it doesn’t offer, cost, benefits, training, support, pros and cons, and my ranking of it.
What Doesn’t Wealthy Affiliate Offer?
Let’s get that out of the way first. Wealthy Affiliate is not a get-rich-quick scheme, so it doesn’t give you a false promise of immediate earnings. On the contrary, the founders of Wealthy Affiliate (Kyle and Carson) are very honest with their claim that theirs is not a method to get rich quick, and that in order to start earning cash, you need to dedicate time, work, and effort. Makes sense, doesn’t it?
Any business requires that you put in the effort. No business has sprung out of the ground and become an overnight success. All “overnight success” stories have a long history of hard work, failures and successes, falling and getting up again.
There are no hidden costs or annoying upsells. It gets even better, you can start as a FREE member, no credit card details required, and have access to training, many useful tools, and two websites. I will explain more about that in the next paragraph.
So, What does Wealthy Affiliate Offer?
I was blown away by the amount of training, information, tools, and support Wealthy Affiliate offers its members. What I recommend is that you start out as a free member. As I mentioned before, you do not need to fill out any credit card details, just sign up and go. Immediately, you’ll have access to the following, which is all free:
- Online Entrepreneur Certification, level 1 (10 lessons)
- Affiliate Bootcamp, level 1 (10 lessons)
- Video walk-throughs
- 2 free websites on the SiteRubix website building platform
- Website backup
- A selection of amazing themes for your websites
- Keyword research tool (30 searches)
- Website manager and website builder
- Site content, an easy to use content writing tool that includes templates. You can also create your own templates.
The free membership is perfect to get started and learn the ropes. If you’re an absolute newbie, you’ll learn plenty about affiliate marketing and managing websites. And if you already have experience, you can freshen up on new training and find at your disposal the above mentioned points.

The price for being a Premium member is $49 US a month or $359 US per year. Website hosting alone anywhere else costs a lot more, so $49 a month is a great deal. To me it was a no-brainer, and after only a week of being a free member, I signed up for the Premium membership. In March 2021, I earned my 2-year membership badge, and I’m looking forward to more years.
Since November 2020, Wealthy Affiliate also offers an additional membership called Premium Plus, which includes many more powerful features.
Premium Plus offers 50 websites and many expert classes, + the use of Jaaxy Enterprise which is a more advanced version of the Jaaxy keyword tool. Additionally, it provides a daily back up, hacking prevention, instant DNS, and much more. See below here for a full overview.
The monthly membership for Premium Plus is $99 us. With the yearly membership of $745 us, you’ll end up saving$443! Not a bad deal, is it?
Is Premium Plus for everyone? I think it’s an essential tool if you’re serious about affiliate marketing, but I understand that some like to spend less on their membership. The Premium membership at $49 a month also offers plenty of resources that an affiliate marketer needs. Premium Plus gives you a lot extra.
I signed up in March 2019, and in September 2019 my first earnings started coming in. There is no exact time frame for when you’ll start making your first commissions. It can take 6 months, a year, two years, it all depends on you.
Like all businesses, it depends on your dedication and work. Get-rich-quick schemes are … just schemes … they do not work and only take your cash. Wealthy Affiliate offers value for your money and it gives you a world of information and tools that will help you generate your own income. Isn’t that what most of us want? Work from home and have that financial freedom and time to spend with our families and loved ones?
A Great Community That Got Your Back
This is probably my favorite part of Wealthy Affiliate, the community. Wealthy Affiliate has a platform where you can ask questions (for example, your niche, keywords, SEO, training, feedback, and so on). Everyone is helpful and you’ll always find someone who is happy to help or answer your questions. It is reassuring to know that the community is available to help out. And it doesn’t end there. Kyle and Carson, the founders, are also very accessible. You can ask them directly if you have any questions and concerns.
On which online platform can you communicate directly with the founders? On very few, I would say. So, this is what makes Wealthy Affiliate a little different.
Back to School
The training is divided in different levels. Each level has ten lessons, and every lesson comes with an instructional video, screenshots, a written explanation, and an assignment. Basically, you build your website and you can start earning while you take the course.
I have been a teacher for sixteen years and I can recognize a good teacher. Kyle is a great instructor. He explains everything very well, and the lessons are structured and clear. I enjoyed taking the courses and learning all about what you need to succeed at affiliate marketing.
The Guys Behind the Scenes
You know the feeling when you’re calling some technical support and you’re asked to hold for 20 to 30 minutes, or even longer? Those support tickets that are created but do not always resolve the problem … and then you receive an email stating that your ticket is being closed. I’ve been there, I know the frustration 😉
One thing that impressed me greatly at Wealthy Affiliate is the online support. This is something that is included in the Premium member package.
If your website has an issue that you (or other members in the community) can’t solve, you can email Site Support. They always respond in less than five minutes and they find a solution right away. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is the best site support I’ve ever seen. They are fast, efficient, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. This is one aspect of Wealthy Affiliate that I definitely give a big 10.

From my own experience I can say that Wealthy Affiliate is absolutely legit. I have been with them for 8 months. Before joining them I never knew anything about building a website or earning genuine online income through affiliate marketing. In this 8 months I have created my own website, written a good ammount of conent, and have learnt so much exciting stuff that in near future I see myself earning a full time online income.
So yes WA is legit and anyone with serious online income goals should use this great platform.

The price for membership is highly reasonable considering how many websites you can have, top notch training, and they host your website and if you have a problem with it, there is also Site Support, and it does not take days for them to get back to you, they do it pretty quickly! I have been with them for 3 months now, and it is by far the best platform for beginners and novice alike.

I have been a member of WA since 2018 April and no doubt that the site is no scam and what they teach you is how to make money by helping people. I doubt anything surpasses that. The premium payment is what I though too high when I couldn’t afford it and left the platform, almost a year down the line I found myself in need of all the tools the site offers in order to be successful with a new site I was launching and all those tools separately would cost me over 300$ per month when I could get it all at 49$ at WA. I’ve used the training I learnt at WA and do make money every month from it, I’m not yet as rich but I’m definitely way better than I used to be. WA is most legit.
At the premium price of $49 you get indeed a lot of value. I agree.

Another review of Wealthy Affiliate! I love this program! If it weren’t for people like you I would have never discovered it. The training is genuinely helpful, and the community support is awesome! I have wasted so much money on scams and false promises. Finding WA is one of the best things to ever happen. I stayed free as long as I wanted, then when I saw how beneficial it is, I joined as a Premium member. I can’t stress enough how the training and Site Support are worth the whole price easily, but there is so much more. I don’t think I sound as sincere as I actually am. I am already an established affiliate marketer and I can assure anyone reading this comment that you can turn this into a very profitable side hustle or primary business, whichever you decide. The only thing is that you do have to put in a solid effort to get it going, but once it starts making consistent income you can ease up if you wish but never stop growing it.
I have heard many great things about Wealthy Affiliate and my girlfriend is looking to start up an affiliate marketing business in the niche of cosmetics for women of color. I was going to show her the ropes so to speak but I feel she would learn more if she joined Wealthy Affiliate. What is the “Live Video Classes” mentioned in that graphic above all about?
Also, is there a time limit on how long she could remain a free member? Obviously in order for her to advance to more training levels she would need to upgrade. She has some pressing family issues to take care of, but if she were to take let us say a month to complete the first 10 lessons, can she still upgrade?.Thank you Christine for this post and reply.

The live video classes are webinars that are hosted every Friday. If any Premium member misses these classes, he or she can always watch them later at their own time. Every webinar is recorded and available on the Wealthy Affiliate website. There is a plethora of webinars on all kinds of topics, website building, SEO, niches, affiliate marketing, and so on. At the end of each webinar there is a live question and answer session. These live video classes are very informative and worth watching.
Your girlfriend can remain a free member for as long as she likes. When she feels ready or the time is right for her, she can always upgrade to a Premium membership. There´s no pressure. There are many members who have free accounts.
