What if Shakespeare had his own Website?

Bookwise – Heard of it?

Thrive has just launched an amazing new WordPress Theme. Bookwise. And it looks fantastic! As of 12 October 2022, it’s brand new. Have you heard of it? The first time I checked it out I was blown away by all its features and the website’s layout. For any author who wants a professional website, Bookwise is the way to go.

It’s, of course, not the only way. WordPress offers many other beautiful and functional author themes that also work well and offer many useful features; Bookwise is not the only outstanding one, but it’s certainly worth a mention.

I am using a WordPress theme for my author website and even though it is not Bookwise, I love it just as much. Nevertheless, I have been considering switching over to Bookwise.

Bookwise is a conversion-focused website, developed for indie-authors and writerpreneurs. It was designed to connect with your readers and convert visits into sales.

You don’t need to be an expert in website building or know about coding. It is all set up for you and there is nothing else you need to do – unless you want to customize it according to your own requirements and preferences. Customization has also been simplified to keep the website easy to use.

Cons

Bookwise is not free. It comes included in Thrive Themes, so you can’t just download it from WordPress Themes without having Thrive Themes.

Compared to other WordPress author themes, however, Bookwise is the only one that includes so much useful info and tutorials that will help you achieve the success you want. Nowadays, it isn’t easy to get noticed as an author, so although having to sign up for the Thrive Theme Builder seems like a con, I’d consider it an investment for anyone who is serious about taking their writer’s career to a higher level.

You can, however, – as I mentioned previously – sign up for a 14-day free trial of Thrive Suite and take Bookwise for a test drive.

It includes quality landing pages, funnels, email lists, lead-generating quizzes, creating and selling your own online courses, evergreen scarcity campaigns, easy connecting of your apps, plugins, and services. Thrive Suite is conversion-focused. It was created for coaches and consultants, online course creators and info-preneurs, bloggers and affiliate marketers, e-commerce, and now also authors.

Thrive Themes comes with rapid implementation, tools, and education.

If you’re not familiar with Thrive, the following two articles will give you more information about their platform and what they do: Automated Workflow Plugin – Thrive Automator 2021 and Thrive Themes Course Craft Relaunch.

Final Thoughts

So, although Bookwise is not free unlike other WordPress themes, it is worth an investment, depending on what your goals are as an author. If you just want your book out there but are not interested in marketing and sales, then I wouldn’t recommend Bookwise. In that case, any of the free WordPress author sites will work just as well for you.

However, if you are an author who would like to convert a passion into a living – just imagine, living off your books, where you poured your soul into! – then I think that Bookwise is worth it.

An investment for your future.

There is always the nagging question many of us often have, what if it doesn’t work? But then, a more important question to consider is: what if it does?

  1. Great article on the new beautiful Bookwise press theme looks really nice and attractive but I really need to do more research. I have two themes that I’ve been using for a long time but I’m not sure if you can tell me if my website won’t be slowed down or some other side effects if I install the “Bookwise” theme thank you for this informative article and I’m sure it will help many be useful in the future. 🙂

    1. Hi Zvezdan,

Bookwise was created by Thrive Themes and Thrive is a reputable brand with a good reputation, focused on conversions and giving the website visitors a good website experience. I don’t think that you need to worry about the Bookwise theme slowing down your website.

  2. Hi Christine,
Thanks for the heads up about this new theme – Bookwise! I never realized the Thrive Suite was conversion focused nor about the impressive inclusions – funnels, email lists, lead-generating quizzes, creating and selling your own online courses etc. It is certainly an eye-opener for me and I will definitely be checking it out in greater detail. I think it might have a slight edge over GeneratePress because of these inclusions….

I watched a bit of the Bookwise video launch above and I can definitely see how this will be very valuable to authors and writers and it is worth exploring. It has a lot of pros speaking for it as well.
